Made Foam Mattress Is memory foam good for sciatica?
i have sciatica problem and im thinking about buying a memory foam. there are few varieties available for purchase. (1). Pure 10 inch thick memory foam mattress some chinese brand , (2) a 2 inch topper again chinese brand (3) a 2 inch memory foam topper glued to local 6 inch foam the topper is japanese and 6 inch foam is low grade made in pakistan. (4) 2 inch memory foam topper with pocket spring mattress which one is good for me. please note that there is no professional help available regarding memory foams and its relation to sciatica. any suggestions what mattress should i buy?
Sciatica is a nerve pain and so memory foam will not have any positive effect.

Is anyone interested in Eco-friendly mattresses?
I'm writing a research paper and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to answer the following survey questions about eco-friendly mattresses?
1. Are you in the market for an eco-friendly mattress?
2. If you had a choice to purchase between two memory foam mattresses and one of them was eco-friendly with the cost staying similar to one another, would you choose the one that was eco-friendly? (Plant based and made in the U.S.)

I'll do you one better. We own a small retail store in a more rural area where people are generally not known to purchase expensive items.
What is even more important is the fact that this is not a big area to sell green products especially mattresses. We are really the only dealer in the St. Louis Metro area doing so.
Our store is located in Arnold Missouri.
A little over a year ago we made the decision to purchase a line of mattresses produced from all natural latex rubber. They are renewable, biodegradable, and virtually chemical free and maybe the strongest mattress built today with a life expectancy of 15-30 years. The product uses a chemical free cover made from certified organic wool for fire retardantcy and certified organic cotton for a durable healthy cover.
Our store took the ultimate step and bought them not knowing if our customers would actually buy them.
I am happy to say the answer is they have and do continue to buy them. They are starting to take a pass on the petroleum based synthetic nightmare some people call a mattress and boxspring.
As far as cost yes they are little more expensive up front, but when you dollar cost average them over their useable life, they are actually a better buy than a cheaper mattress and boxspring.
Our next step is to increase the line to a biobased memory foam line of memory foam mattresses, which will is produced with 30 % less chemicals. Not exactly organic yet, but then again neither is a Toyota Prius, but that's marketing right?

I personally didn’t care for the Tempur Pedics in the end. I ended up with a Hotel Collection Bed with a Pillow Top, it’s something like a $5000 bed, but was on sale because no one at Macy’s would buy a $5000 bed, so I managed to get one for $2400, no tax, and 2 year financing. I laid on all the Tempur Pedic models, and unless you were paying for the Celebrity Bed or Cloud bed, they’re very hard. (the Cloud is 3200 iirc, and the celebrity 4k) — To give you an idea how hard, I ended up with a cushion firm mattress, and only the celebrity felt soft like that. The weird thing was at Macy’s they had a memory foam bed for 1400 or so that was more comfortable then all the tempur pedics unless you got the cloud or celebrity for twice the price. I like the idea of a memory foam mattress, but pillowtops were more comfortable to me then memory foam in the same price range. I don’t mean to say you’ll come to the same conclusion as me, as the mattress store guy said, there’s a reason why he has over 50 mattresses in his store.
