Mattress Topper Memory Foam
Does a memory foam mattress topper (4") make your mattress firmer or softer?
I read some reviews on this Serta memory foam mattress topper-one person said they need a very firm mattress and this did it. Others make it sound like it makes your mattress softer. I have too firm of a mattress and need it softer-is this recommended?

I got one a while back for a queen size bed. I had it for a couple years before buying a Tempurpedic king size bed.
The topper did provide quite a bit of memory foam effect. It isn't quite like having the whole memory foam mattress. But, I thought the $100 or so I paid for it to be well worth the investment. The king-sized bed cost about $2200, but was worth every penny. I will never have any other kind of mattress.
