Memory Foam Cover
Am I supposed to put a Memory Foam Mattress Top under covers?
Hey people. I was wondering If I am supposed to put a memory foam mattress top under the bedsheets like my normal mattress is. Or am I supposed to just have it on top of the bedsheets?
In this order...
1. Mattress
2. Memory Foam ....You need to take them outside and let the sun have at them a few times a year...they are best replaced every 2 years max.
3. Mattress pad ......You need to have this to protect the surface of your Memory foam and mattress should be washed 1 time a month minimum.

mattress question?
Hello, I have a very old mattress. Like 20 years. The springs are all messed up and i wake up in pain everyday. I am also pregnant and don't know how much more i can take. I cant afford a new mattress or a used one. If i bought a memory foam cover like the 100-200 dollar ones would that help
Most likely your mattress is now considerably lower in the middle than it is around the edges. A foam topper will not help this unfortunately, nor will it really provide much cushion between you and the hard springs. If you have $200 to spend on a new topper, you could surely find a new mattress for this amount instead. It won't be the greatest, but it's sure to be better than a 20 yr old one. Here's a fullsize mattress from IKEA for $179: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50094416 A queen size mattress will probably cost more, but you could surely check the classifieds and find one for less than $200.

I'm thinking the down mattress cover is what's making it so hot. Take that off, put on a cotton one & see how that does for you. I bet you are much more comfortable during the night & not getting so hot. Between the foam & the down, it's probably holding in heat. A cotton one would let the foam "breathe" a little more. Not a crappy question.
