Are the Memory Foam mattresses comfortable?
The memory foam mattresses. Are they as comfortable as it would seem.?How much are they? Are they worth it?
The mattresses made *entirely* of memory foam are very pricey, thousands of dollars a piece, no? At least for the top-brands, like Tempurpedic. As the stuff is getting more popular there are more cheap versions, some of which may not be as well made or have the same properties as the better stuff. Some may really only be a little bit of memory foam, over cheaper foam of the old resilient kind. Some reviews claim that all you need is a reasonably thick over-layer of memory foam to get its benefits...I forget what the recommendations are, but it might be as little as 4 or so inches of memory foam is required to make the comfort as good as an entire new expensive memory foam mattress. So, a mattress 'topper' of good quality might be a reasonable alternative.
I tried a topper and didn't like the feeling of sinking in, but it wasn't the high-end tempurpedic stuff. Nor did I like the sort of soppy warmth it generates.
I do *love* my memory foam pillow, and find that a decent one of those (I think the ones Target sells are the best around at the low low price point of 20 bucks), in the 'contoured' version where the neck is cradled, solves an incredible amount of my pressure point issues. That and a simple non-memory foam but *springless* (high resiliency polyurethane, wrapped in something else) mattress (I got one from Ikea, the "Fangebo"...cheap).

Memory foam mattress VS. Tempurpedic : Which is better?
After reviewing all the different sites online such as healco.com, Memory Foam Network at http://www.memoryfoamnetwork.com , tempurpedic.com and so on, I have found there is so much info on memoryfoam mattresses that I am kinda confused. Is memory foam different from tempurpedic, or does Tempurpedic just cost more?
people say that after a while, tempurpedic gives out and becomes just a blob on your bed-- not worth the money. The best thing that you can to is buy a cheap memory foam mattress topper that doesn't cost a lot of money to replace ever three or four years.
