How to clean a memory foam mattress?
My wonderful cat has urnitated on my memory foam mattress. Does anyone have a good method of cleaning these? No info came with the mattress for anything other than spot cleaning.
I can only suggest that you call the manufacturer and ask them how to do it. I am not familiar with the Memory Foam, so I wouldn't take a chance, doing the wrong thing. A shirt of jacket is one thing, but a mattress, Well that's another thing .

Memory foam and Latex mattresses: which is better?
my family has to buy a new mattress for my mother, who has back pain. but we dont know what to buy... some people say the memory foam mattresses are great for people who has back pain. but some others say that memory foam is too soft and can be bad for thos having back pain. confused, i decided to ask the question here in yahoo answers.
Which kind of mattress is better for those having back pain problems?
Memory foam mattress? Latex mattress? Or other kinds?
And if you have time, please add the differences between memory foam and latex.

Purchasing a mattress for someone else is like buying clothes or shoes for him or her without trying them on first.
Not recommended.
The reason you hear pro & cons for both is because they both have pros and cons. This is why test resting is important. A Mattresses feel is subjective to the individual that is going to sleep on it.
Memory Foam is Foam
Latex is Rubber
These are both very high quality mattresses and both can be purchased in an array of soft, medium, and firm variations. Durability and all natural in my book the winner is latex.

Don't be fooled by the hype.I actually make mattresses,including "memory foam",and latex versions.It is the spring,and fillings that make a comfortable bed.Save your money,it really is not worth the cost
Check out we bought a latex mattress from them and the sales person was very helpful and didn't try to get us to buy anything. Just recommended what they though would be best for us based on our height, weight and comfort level desired. We have been very happy for 2 years now on it.

Density translates to how hard the mattress will feel to you in the sleeping position.
Four inches of memory foam will be more soft as there is more memory foam to absorb the body weight in a more equalizing distribution of absorption.
If you like more firm, then the 2" memory foam would be the choice. I suggest that you test both. Lay on your side for awhile and see if the density allows your spine to achieve a straight line between your hips and shoulders.
There are retailers who will allow one to test their mattresses for like 30 days.
