Spinning on a top whorl spindle
Help! I don't know how to thread my mom's sewing machine. It's a New Home My Excel 23L?
Help! Inherited my mom's sewing machine and I don't know how to thread it. It's a New Home My Excel 23L. I can't find the manual anywhere. I need to fix a bunch of clothes. I don't have time to go buy a manual because I need to have all of these things fixed by Friday!Can someone please help? I know how to do the bobbin on the bottom, it's just the top spindle I don't know how to do. Please and thank you.
Ok, this is kind of hard to write down these instructions so please bare with me. I am not sure of the official names of all the little objects on a sewing machine but even if I did I think it might confuse you more. First put the thread sindal on the medal knob on the right top of the machine. There may be numbers arrows or both that show where the thread needs to go but if there is than there should be two sets one for threading the machine and the other is to rethread the bobbin. There may or maynot be a little thin medal thing on the top of the machine the just holds the thread in place. There should be a "U" Shaped cut out in the front of the machine on the left side, starting on the right run it down and back up. If you then twist the knob on the right slowly while watching the front of the machine there should be a metal piece that comes out a little farther left than where the thread came out the U, hook the thread on the medal piece when it comes visable and you can stop spinning the knob. Then run the thread down thread your needle, pull out a couple extra inches of thread just in case. Twist the knob so the needle gosh in the machine and pulls out the bobbin thread, pull it out a couple more inches and you are ready to sew! Good luck sorry this is a LONG explanation, hope I helped.
