White Mattress Topper Looking for info on laundering a white duck down feather filled mattress topper? Can it be washed?
in an oversize machine with cold water??? or must it be dry cleaned. Have small dried blood spot (new)
I just washed a down comforter. Before I did this, I called the company to ask for advice.
With that, I washed it in an oversize machine, gentle cycle, with soap designed for delicate fabric (Woolite).
To dry, I put it in the big dryer with a few old, clean sneakers. Those helped fluff the comforter and separate the feathers so the thing dried faster. It still took ages, though! Bring a good book.
The blood spot I'd treat with one of those "oxyclean" type spray on cleaners. That usually works for us.

My memory foam topper turned yellow?
I got it about 6 months ago, it was white, now the top of it has been turned yellow with it being a darker yellow around the edges. I have a white sheet over it that's still white and my bed sheets are all clean. the bottom of the topper is white. Its over the whole mattress even though I usually only sleep on one side of the bed. what is this from?
I thought that it could be the aging part just that i thought 6 months was probably too soon for it to do so, thanks
All Memory Foam turns yellow with age. This is simply memory foam's way of oxidizing. (Like a penny gets darker with age.) This is completely natural and in no way detracts from the effectiveness of the memory foam material.
My wife says: Have her try sleeping on top of extra pillows on the bed as well as having a pillow between her legs. Make sure the one between the legs goes all the way down to her feet to help keep her hip joints aligned. I also had a pillow behind my back and under my belly. You could also try a memory foam mattress topper instead of sleeping on top of pillows, which can be a little precarious. In my experience, any position gets uncomfortable after a couple of hours because of the extra weight in the pelvis. Turn and rearrange pillows frequently. Good luck!
