Bed Waterproof Crib
What kind of mattress pad should I get for my son's big boy bed ?
He is going to be moving into a big boy bed and is not potty trained yet. He often wakes up with his pajamas and sheet wet in his crib. Is a waterproof mattress pad enough or do I need a rubber one. He will be sleeping in a full size bed. I did not see rubber ones at Target.
I buy vinyl pads from Walmart. The top side is soft and the underneath is plastic. They do not go around the entire mattress. Here's what I do for easy middle of the night bedwetting problems. I use a plastic mattress sheet then a regular fitted sheet. On top of the fitted sheet I use one of those pads and then another fitted sheet. Sometimes I'll add another layer yet and use another pad and then another fitted sheet. Then put the flat sheet and cover or whatever you choose to use. When my son wets his bed I am able to quickly remove the top fitted sheet and one wet pad. Underneath is another fitted sheet that is dry and ready to go. It makes for a much quicker bed change at 3am!! Hope that makes sense!

Yeah I probably have too much on the list. I'm overwhelmed. This is my 1st child and I'm due in less than 2 months. I've bought nothing yet!!
A monitor is nice in a bigger home but for a small home just a conveinance plus to far away like outside they usually dont work to well anyways. I never used my playpen or portable crib there nice to have if you are outside alot or have older kids around. Theres two kinds of johnson baby soap one is in a cloudy bottle and other in a clear the one in the cloudy bottle seemed to burn my sons eyes the one in the clear doesn't. my son went through about 5 onesies a day in the begining because his poop was runny and it always went up his back and the gowns with the open bottom are heavenly hope this helps congrats
