Elastic Memory Foam
Is there a way to keep bedsheets from coming off over time of heavy usage?
Im using a very thick memory foam topper on a king size airbed and it seems the elastic bed sheets I find are never strong enough to keep it on there for more than a few days w/o coming off and exposing the foam. Are there any tricks to keep them from coming off. Can I tie strings (or something) from each side underneath w/o it riping the elastics off the bed sheets over time? How come they dont make the elastics stronger like bungie cords??? Or do they and I just haven't seen them.
This is not a regular matress... It's an air matress and fabrics can slide very easily on and off them cuz it's made of vinyl. I do have the right size depth it just keeps sliding off because there's no grip. Much stronger elastics instead of the crap they use would be perfect.
You have a few options here. Deeper fitted sheets, sewing elastic full length straps on to your sheets you already have . Then there are premaid elastic corner holders that are placed on the corners diagonally. you find them over by irons and ironing boards and clothes pens at Walmart. Its a piece of elastic with little metal clamp/clips on the ends this makes it stay on the corners. It is close to what your thinking when you are thinking bungie cords probably. You could also turn the air mattress up side down having the fabric side down since you use a topper anyway. this would help. The fabric side usually goes up because if you only had a sheet between you and vinyl it would make you sweat. hopes this helps.

Visco elastic memory foam mattress topper
Tempur Pedic vs. Other Brands of Visco Elastic Memory Foam Beds?
Ok so my husband and I are in the market for a Visco Elastic memory foam bed... we have priced both TempurPedic and other brands, and there is about a $1000 price difference.
Is the TempurPedic brand really superior?
If not then why them price difference?
We want to buy the best quality, and need to know if buying a bed that is cheeper is going to effect the quality of the product.
Go with the Tepur Pedic, I've had one for 2 years and it's just like the day we got it. My Aunt got one about 10 years ago and hers is still great.
I know of two people, who purchased the cheaper knock offs and they hated them. I believe one was a Serene foam bed and the other came from either Costco or Sams Club.
In any case I paid almost $4,000 for my bed and I'd pay it again. My wife has a terrible back condition and we talked to a couple of her doctors, they both recommended the Tempur Pedic.
I wasn't thrilled about the price, but it is an excellent bed, the best I've ever had.
