Fiber Memory whats the best for pain in neck/back of head?
when i wake up my neck is hurting and then the back of my head, i have changed my pillows few times but just the normal cheap fibre ones.. i also bought a memory foam pillow which i found useless and hurt my head as it felt to hard, also the memory foam matteress topper i found made my back hurt so i took them back for a refund.. i havent tryed feather pillows yet.. i am confused a to what kind? i am in the uk and live in a small place with not much shops around.. think i may need something soft so my head can sink into..
any suggestions? thanks xx

Do the strands of human hair on a persons head have memory molecules that allow them to be manipulated?
.....that allow them to be manipulated into what ever shape desired? IE: curls, waves, folds?? I am trying to figure out why when I tried using the "muscle memory" technique, if you will, for a lock of synthetic hair made of complex fibers and plastic.... by braiding it with hair gel and leaving it for 8 hours, it did absolutely nothing!
However, when I used this same technique for a lock of human hair (that actually came from someones scalp it was genious and worked just fine. Anyone??? Google hasn't many answers with out twisting my question.
Great question! The answer is actually rooted in biochemistry. To simplify, the hair on your head is made up of protein. Several things contribute to how hair acts and it all has to do with chemical bonds.
When you put hear in one position and sort of "train" it to that position, you're actually disturbing bonds between the proteins and forcing the hair to adapt to that position. The hair, though, also has interactions with itself. This is one of the reasons people have curly hair versus wavy hair... it depends upon the particular proteins in the hair and how it interacts with itself.
I know it's a very general answer, but I hope it helps. Explaining in more detail would require more biochemistry than I'm willing to type
