If I had to clean it, I think I would take it to a car wash and spray it with the power pressure washer. If it smells I would make a sollution of vinegar and water and hand scrub it first. Vinegar would help to neutralize any oders and the smell will disapate. It is a natural odor killer. I wouldn't use anything but the soap at the car wash and make sure you rinse it throughly.

I'm not sure how I feel about ranking memory foam as the best in comfort, but it's very close with the air bed. I've owned an air bed from Select Comfort, a memory foam mattress from http://www.EnjoyYourSleep.com, and spring mattresses from Simmons and Serta, and by far, I say my EnjoyYourSleep memory foam mattress is the most comfy. It really depends on the person, so find what you like.
Check out we bought a latex mattress from them and the sales person was very helpful and didn't try to get us to buy anything. Just recommended what they though would be best for us based on our height, weight and comfort level desired. We have been very happy for 2 years now on it.
