Tempurpedic mattress..... i have alot of back problems.. anyone got one?

do they make a difference in your back? i can get a king size matt. and box springs for 750.00 - there 3 yrs old... is that a good price?

Do NOT buy a Tempurpedic mattress. I bought this mattress at full price because I have fibromyalgia and have back problems. While it is a somewhat comfortable sleep, frankly I achieved the same effect with a much less expensive mattress and a mattress topper. But the worse part about this mattress is that it retains heat. It is literally like sleeping in a furnace. I normally do not sweat at all. Since I bought this and the spring has arrived, I have the most ungodly night sweats imaginable. Since it is past the return period, I don't know what I'm going to do - probably just ditch the thing at some point because the quality of my sleep is so bad. If you google Tempurpedic and heat retention you will find tons of people complaining about this but unless you know about it beforehand, you don't find these complaints just by researching the mattress itself. The complaints are well concealed. Also, another thing I learned about this mattress, as with all memory foam mattresses, is that they are chemically saturated with toxic chemicals. Really wish I had known before I bought it. When I wake up in the morning I now have tearing eyes and a sore throat. There are also tons of people complaining about this but also the you have to dig around for them. Do yourself a huge favor and stick with latex - it's much safer for you.
