Memory Foam Bed
Have you owned a Memory Foam bed for 3-5 years at least? Do you like it?
Are there various forms of firmness to choose from? Is it going to last me 10 years like my last pillowtop bed did? Will it squish in the middle like the memory foam sandals I own?
We have a Sealy Posturepedic memory foam that is amazing. Love it! Ours has a 20yr warranty. It does squish down when you lay/sit on it but then it rises back up when you get up.
There are various forms of firmness to choose from. Ours is one of the softer/squishier ones. The Temperpedic is firmer but they have many to chose from.
Gotta say, I was amazed at how much better I sleep. At first, I wasn't used to it and didn't know if I liked it or not. That lasted the first few days. Now I love it! I fall asleep so much faster and sleep sounder and have less back/neck aches when I wake up. We spent about $2500 on a queen mattress. That was during a 50% off sale. But it was most definitely worth the price!

Would it be a bad idea to get a memory foam bed bed if I have a cat?
Would it be a bad idea to get a memory foam bed if I have a cat? She normally sleeps on my bed now and so does my border collie when I'm not home or not using it. Are they durable or is my cat sinking her claws into it when she’s trying to get comfortable going to ruin it fast? If not what is another good type of bed(I don't want a box spring)? Also can anyone tell me if essentia is a reliable company to get the bed from?
My daughter has on and her cat sleeps with her. All cats like to dig their claws into their bedding. I don't think it woud hurt the mattess since there would be a sheet over it, but to be on the safe side get your cat a flannel blanket. They love them and really love to knead them with their claws. Maybe she wont even bother the mattress that way.
