How do you clean visco elastic memory foam?
I have a visco elastic memory foam mattress pad. I quit smoking, but I used to smoke in my home, so it still smells like smoke. How do I clean this? Will it damage it to put it in the washing machine?? Thanks!
You can't. The best thing you can do for it is to hang it outside in the sunshine for a day, then flip it over in the sunshine for another day. If you spray it with anything, it will get ruined.

Tempur Pedic vs. Other Brands of Visco Elastic Memory Foam Beds?
Ok so my husband and I are in the market for a Visco Elastic memory foam bed... we have priced both TempurPedic and other brands, and there is about a $1000 price difference.
Is the TempurPedic brand really superior?
If not then why them price difference?
We want to buy the best quality, and need to know if buying a bed that is cheeper is going to effect the quality of the product.
I have layed on them both and see no difference, and wanted to know if there is a long term difference?
I like my tempur pedic and think it is superior to most other regular mattresses.
I don't know about how the memory foam compares to it though.
One suggestion is find a store or 2 stores that have both and lay on them for a while.
Also if you have not gotten a brochure, the company will send you info. Tempurpedic is supposed to have been designed for Nasa, from what I heard. I had a professional seeing me for my pain who didn't seem to like how the memory foam pillows worked in comparison to another product.

Usually 8 " is fine however do use a good solid base or it will defeat the purpose. I also use a 5" feather and down featherbed on top and it is pure luxury!
