Sleep Foam Bed Did you lay down a towel on the bed just incase your water broke in your sleep?
I have a memory foam mattress, not just the topper, but the whole mattress, it does have a cotton cover, but I don't want anything to get one either if my water breaks....
Yes, I did and am going to do so again soon. Even though my water did not break the last two times until the Dr. 'helped' it around 6-8cm, that does not mean it won't spontaneously break on it's own this time around. And who wants to clean that up? Especially since there was meconium present in the amniotic fluid the last two times. It may be silly, but I would rather sleep on a couple of towels than chance my nice and comfy mattress getting ruined.

My mother in law has a sleep number bed and really liked it. She has chronic back pain and the sleep number bed was the only mattress comfortable enough for her to sleep on.
I also went with a faux-tempurpedic even after being there in the mattress stores trying out the actual tempurpedic beds and knowing I could easily afford one at the time. I ended up buying an Englander memory foam bed, it’s a massive, and I mean MASSIVE queen size that requires the deepest king size deep pocket sheets you can find because of how the bed is designed. It has both the large memory foam section on top that is the thickness of your usual mattress, but then has another secondary layer of cushion and springs under that, and then of course your separate box spring for the big ol mattress to sit on for support. I actually ended up putting it directly on the floor after finding that the legs of the frame made the bed so tall that I actually had to climb just to get into the bed, and I’m not super short or anything (5’4″), so without the frame it’s just the right height. What I found was that in the cold mattress store, I experienced exactly what a lot of people were talking about with the memory foam turning rock hard. Of course in a warmer room it’s going to get softer, along with your body heat changing it during the night. But with the Englander it didn’t have such a major change in how it felt between warm or cold, so I didn’t have to worry about it being comfortable one minute and uncomfortable the next. I’ve had this same mattress for over 6 years now and it is literally exactly like the day I bought it, doesn’t feel a single bit different. I also sprung for the expensive pure memory foam pillows, although I do not remember if these were Tempurpedic brand or Englander as I tore the tags off that day. But just like the bed, I fell in love and haven’t used another pillow since. So the way I see it, if you’re going to spend any decent amount of money on a bed(and it is always great to see if you can get some sort of no apr financing deal like I did for a year and had it paid off that year), buy one that will last you 10 years or so like I did. Totally worth the money to have a bed that you’re not going to hate a year from now.
