Support Orthopedic Foam This question is only for those who own a memory foam/tempur orthopedic mattress Please!?
I am lookign to buy one of these mattress because I suffer from alot of back pains following a bad car accident. I wanted to know your opinion, do you recommend, do you feel more relaxed in the morning, do you get a good night sleep?
My physiotherapist says that whatever anomalies we have in our posture (I have a curvature in my lower back) this mattress will support, instead of correcting (my back should be placed straight, but this mattress would encouragemy back to curve), this is why I hesitate. Also, does it keep the shape of your body over time (like after 6 months of using the mattress every night), or the mattress always regain its original shape even after having spent so many hours sleeping on it? I would imagine the weight of the body to form a crease int he mattress, does it?

I tried a memory foam mattress and was not happy with it. Your body molds in to it and then you feel like you are laying on A rock. there's no resilience like a normal mattress. Also you get very hot on the mattress. I did not get a good night's sleep and I returned the mattress after a few days.
I now use a Sealy posture mattress along with foam egg crate and I sleep very well . For some people they think the memory foam is fantastic. I've just given you my opinion for what it's worth.

What is the best orthopedic pillow for someone who wakes up with neck pain?
I rarely wake up with neck pain, but when I do, it is excruciating. About a week ago I woke up with some really bad neck pain, but this time it is taking much longer to get better. I am still in pain right now and I am tired of it, literally. I can't get a good nights sleep. From your experience, what is the best orthopedic pillow out there? I am looking at these because they look like they might help and they fit my budget, but I'm willing to learn about any other pillows as well. If you know a lot about pillows, which one of these do you think would be most effective? Thanks for your help.
First, be sure you have treated the problem and not just easing the symptoms. Make sure your doctor has xrayed your neck to be sure that there are no "spurs" or arthritic deformities causing your problem. I had cervical disc dissection after playing around with epidural injections,chiropractors and physical therapy. I hope it is just an alignment problem...I now count on my memory-foam neck pillow for a much more comfortable nite's sleep. Again..be sure of the underlying problem first..Good luck and God Bless!
