Tempurpedic Other
Is tempur-pedic a comfortable mattress? Any others?
I spent $1200 on a pillow top mattress. I was looking for a very soft one and at the store it felt soft, but my goodness I can't sleep comfortably. I can feel the springs poking against my body, stopping circulation and tossing and turning all night long. What a waste of money!!
I'm thinking it might be worth it to buy yet another new mattress just because I can't sleep and feel tired in the mornings. I was watching a tempurpedic commercial, are those really the best mattresses? Have you tried them before? Do you know how much a queen size would cost? Or what do high end hotels use?
I just need something that's really soft and comfortable and not firm at all.
I've heard many people complain that they make them sweat. The material is not exactly breathable and the users that complain about the sweating also complain that the mattress starts to stink after a while, presumably from all the sweating.

is tempurpedic bed worth the cost? or how about other foam bed brands?

It is a comfortable mattress, for lying in one place. It is not particularly easy to sleep on for someone who moves a lot during the night. The profit margin on the mattress and accessories is enormous. No it is not worth the cost. Most major mattress manufacturers now make a memory foam mattress just as good for about half the cost.
