Visco Memory Foam Mattress Pads
tempurpedic Vs Memory foam bed?
Has anyone used the tempurpedic bed? I was told its a waste of money beacuse its a normal foam mattress that just has a few inch thick layer of the actual visco-elastic memory foam> I can get a 3" thick visco-elastic memory foam pad for my queen matrass for $80 bucks has anyone tired using a visco-elastic memory foam pad and a full tempurpedic bed? Is it workth 10X or more for a full tempurpedic bed?
Well with the cost of the new bed being as you are unsure of your want or need I would go with the topper,you can always move it to a guest bed or other bedroom if it doesn't work out for you.

A calm and composed night's sleep depends primarily upon the quality of mattress we use in our beds. Memory foam mattress is a unique type of mattress that is pressure and temperature sensitive.
In 1970s, NASA developed Memory Foam for use in their space program to protect the astronauts. Paradoxically, the material was never used in any space program. In the 1990s, the product was launched in the commercial market in the form of topper pads and then as foam mattresses.
A medical company, Tempur-Pedic, first recognized the possible commercial application of the foam. They examined the various versions of the foam and came out with a product that they called "Tempur". This Tempur had the property of pressure reduction.
