I would say memory foam, they are very comfortable. The micro beads keep moving so you can hear it, it gets very annoying after a while! Hope this helps =]

We gave in to the travel pillows on our last trip. I agree they look dorky but when I’m passed out and comfy I’m ok with it!
One thing to note is that some planes are doing those headrests now that you can kind of “mold” or fold the headrest part to your head…if you’re on one of those planes, the travel pillow doesn’t work at all and is more of an inconvenience to have than anything. I think more airlines/planes are moving towards those types of headrests now so I think the travel pillows will be a thing of the past soon. If you do happen to give into a travel pillow though, be sure that you get one that is semi ridged or air filled—a lot are made with those little beads inside (like what’s inside of a bean bag chair) and those are totally USELESS! Your head just kind of sinks into them and they don’t provide any support whatsoever. Try to find one that’s filled with foam, air, or a stiffer material than that.Love the kids’ pillows! They’re so cute!I can’t believe I know this much about dorky travel pillows. Ha!
