Leg Wedge Pillow
knee/calf pain throughout the night?
Im a little over 23 weeks, showing but not to extreme. I weighed 140 before pregnancy and Im up to 158 now so not sure if that is affecting my body pains. I sleep with a body pillow- with support between my legs and a wedge behind my back but I wake up with horrible knee/calf pains throughout the night. It's just my left knee and both my calfs though. Does anyone else have this? Im starting to wonder that the body pillow is doing more harm than good, I didnt have the pains before using it. I work up with a 'charlie horse' one night, just randomly. if the body pillow is suppose to be most comfortable, how come it's not. is there any other way?
Im 38wks gone and i get this aswell, not every night but quite regularly. I tried everything including pillow between my legs, eating potassium rich fruit, elevating my legs. Eventually, at 2.30am i got in a nice warm bath with radox bubbles. I dont know if it was this or the fact that i was absolutly knackered, that i just dropped off to sleep when i got out about half an hour later! Try it, everyones body reacts differently. Not long to go now so just focus on the enjoyable time that lie ahead

I'm 23 wks pregnant and have not slept in 2 wks. please help. ?
My back hurts SOOOO badly in the middle of the night that all I do is toss and turn. i have a body pillow. the tummy wedge thing and extra pillows to go between my legs. i'm driving me and my husband crazy at night. what can I do?
Make hubby sleep on the couch so you don't worry that you're interfering in his sleep.
You can take two tylenol, or if your dr. agrees, maybe even a couple of motrin, or a couple of benedryl (sleep-tabs).
I assume you've been talking to your dr. about this. You know what, I'd consult an acupuncture doctor. This is your way out of the pain. I bet they can take care of you & baby in just a couple of sessions, and everybody will be happy.
