*don't buy a narrow table. It seems like the super wide ones are a pain and sometimes they can be. They are awkward to move BUT if you only buy one table make it wide. I have 2. The skinny one I use a lot for the norm clients and its at my house, the wide one is at my parents that I will soon need to use for prenatal clients or larger clients. TRUST ME narrow tables fit people my size and my size only.
*Dont spend too much money on it cause chances are you will find things you hate about it. Its like buying a car you learn what you like and dont like from trial and error so dont splurge on this….eventually if you really get into it and have it outta your own home you would want a hydrolic one anyways which are BIG MONEY
*Call AIM and ask if they have any ads for tables for sale. When MT's sell their tables they usually hit up schools to sell them to up and comers.
*TRY to get one w. a headrest that has 2 levers for adjustments. MOST have only one which tilts the headrest towards or away from your forehead, the other lever,the one you WANT AS WELL moves the entire face cradle up or down (usually you have to move it up for bigger chested women or men, or women w. implants
*Lastly make sure it will fit in your vehicle AND that you can lift it without too much strain up stairs and around. No one wants to have an MT come to their house and be more crippled than they are.
