Memory Foam Rolls
How do I amend a lumpy, sagging mattress?
We just moved into a furnished house, but the mattress is terrible... It sags in the middle, and makes my back ache terribly to sleep in such uncomfortable positions, at weird angles. I'm also not a fan of always rolling toward the middle of the bed, closer to my snoring husband.
Of course I can't just plunk down the money for a new mattress, especially since I own one, just not at this house (and I'm unable to transfer it).
Are there any ways to make this mattress bearable for a year? Egg-crate, memory foam, any suggestions? Cheaper is always better... but so is a good night's sleep.
have you tried to flip and turn it?..... perhaps placing a sheet of plywood between it and the boxspring?... between you and hubby, under the mattress, place a couple body pillows, so that there's a hump between you two, then place the mattress over the pillows... at least you won't roll into hubby's side..... for your back, choose whatever will support you... I'd go for the memory foam three inch stuff.... and put a pillow under or between your knees!!....

How Do You Get Animal Pee Out Of Memory Foam?
My stupid mother in law brought her cat and rat dog to my house. One of them pissed on the memory foam bed. This is a expensive bed. I don't want to replace it and she wont replace it claiming it was one of my animals *rolls eyes* My animals have never gone to the bathroom in the house and are kept out of the spare room.
Anyways cheap easy fixes?
Wow, that's a tough one. If it was just a memory foam mattress topper, then it would be easily removable and you could wash it with a lot of hand work.
Memory foam can take a long time to dry while you're hoping it doesn't mildew first, and wet vacuuming is difficult.
You can try cutting off the affected section and hand washing it. You can go with a water followed by either a baking soda solution or a mild vinegary solution, followed by a lot more water. Not sure which adhesive to use to replant it.
Or you could forget about trying to wash the removed section and patch it with memory foam from a mattress topper or a foam store such as the link below.
