Shopping for a bed Dont forget to choose the right mattress too
Beds come in all sorts of different sizes and styles. You can get so fixated on choosing the right bed, you can forget just how important the right mattress is to go with it. There are many different types of varying degrees of quality and comfort. We sleep a lot, so it's important to choose a mattress that's right for you and helps you get a good night's sleep. Beds come in the following sizes, single, double, king and super king. You might find queen size too and some manufacturers even offer a single that has been adapted to be extra long. People tend to opt for the biggest bed they can firstly afford and secondly get into their bedroom at home. Just because you live alone, don't necessarily choose a single bed. If you have the space, it's nice to stretch out and have the extra space and comfort that a double bed allows. Again, if it's practical, take the king and super king over a regular double. If you do move around in your sleep, you're less likely to wake up in a bigger bed. Having more room to roll over is a real bonus.
Beds can vary in length, so pay close attention to the dimensions. You won't something that is right for your own size and the size of your bedroom. It follows that you need to check your mattress will fit properly if you have chosen a bed with slightly unusual dimensions.
Once you've chosen your bed, it's time to move on and get the mattress right. You want comfort and support, so if you can afford to, steer clear of cheaper options. Not only will they prevent you from sleeping well, they'll wear out quickly. So it's false economy to select something from the budget range anyway.
