We want to make our bedroom a nice place to sleep. I want to make it all natural and organic. What sort of pillow and bed topper should I get? Do I need to purchase boxspring with mattress?
My 16 year old son needs a new mattress. Will his old box springs suffice? The salesman says I need both, but my other child sleeps on a bunk bed with just a mattress under him, so why do I need to purchase a boxspring with the new mattress?
You aren't REQUIRED to purchase a new box spring along with your mattress. But as someone said earlier, it will more than likely void your manufacturers warranty.
Most major manufacturers have this policy (i.e. Simmons, Sealy, Serta, Spring Air, Tempurpedic, Stearns & Foster, etc.)
So really it just comes down to how important keeping your warranty intact is to you.

Mattress vs. Boxspring
Does anybody know much about mattress/boxspring all in one or combo sets?
This is the first time I've ever heard of one, are they any good? Do they last long?

I would not want them because they would be too large and heavy to move around. You would not be able to get sheets or mattress covers to fit them either.
They would probably not fit through the aveage size door to get them into the bedroom.

I have a very uncomfortable futon mattress and was thinking about getting a memory foam mattress.
Is there a futon version of the memory foam mattress or is it foldable so I can fold it onto my futon?
I don't see why you can't by one and try it. If it doesn't fold then take a carpet blade and cut it where the fold is suppose to be but not all the way through,just on one side and it should fold the way you want it. If I recall that a futon is the size of a full/queen bed. So I guess that's the size you need. If you don't want to do that then go buy a downs bed to put over the futon and a egg crate and put them down. Good luck!

i'm looking for a mew futon/mattress. when i went on a trip and we stayed in this cabin, the mattress on the bunk-bed was really comfortable. it wasn't memory foam, but it also didn't have springs, but it wasn't just a futon either...yeah, i know. confusing. but i wanted to find a good mattress like that. any suggestions.
