Do Mattress toppers/padding really make the bed more comfortable?
please tell me your experiences and if you have ever used on and what type you used
Yes, they do. My best nights of sleep were on beds that had feather padding.
I've tried the eggshell crate type of pads and they do okay. They're easy to put in the washer and dryer but they are cheap.
The last two years I've used a Laura Ashley mattress pad I bought from Kohl's. It's been wonderful. The only complaint is that it adds an extra 2 - 3 inches to the mattress which can make it difficult for the fitted sheet to pull down all of the way.

How do you keep a pillow top mattress fresh?
I'm starting my spring cleaning and I wasn't sure the best way to go about keeping my mattress fresh and new feeling. I cant exactly flip it.
Hopefully you are following the guidelines to take care of it. You're right, you cant really "flip" a pillow top mattress but you are supposed to rotate it. Just turn it so that your feet will now rest where your head used to. If you haven't been doing that every few months then you will notice a difference in comfort. Although it could also be time for a new mattress.
Stores like Costco and Macy's sale nice mattresses but they are expensive. Mattress Liquidation is a local and online mattress discounter I found that beats everyone else in price flat out. Check them out and compare prices for yourself.

How to clean a pillow top mattress?
I have a pillow top mattress that I got only about a year ago, but I also had a baby within that year and accidents happen, and now I have all these stains on my bed. It doesn't smell, but even when I try to soak up whatever gets on the mattress it always leaves a stain. The mattress is still so new I hate for it to look so old. How can I get the stains out?
With kids everything seems to get stained somehow. I ended up going out and spending about $80 at Walmart for a steam cleaner for the house that comes with the tool attachments. We had just bought a new couch before my son was born and by the time he was 1 we had all sorts of little stains on it. Then potty training came along and we had a few accidents on our mattress. You can clean a mattress in like 10 mins and it'll dry by the time you go to sleep. Just put your sheets back on and you're ready to go. But I'd definitely invest in a cleaner if you don't already have one. We were spending $30+ a time renting those Rug Doctors from the store, so it's worth it if you're going to use it more than once.
